FuzziBunz OS

I'm trying out a bunch of different OS pocket diapers to see which ones we like best. Each has its own unique features.

The FuzziBunz OS adjusts with the elastics rather than snaps on the front. The elastic has numbers and holes for a button to go through and there is a suggested sizing guide which tells me where to set the waist and leg elastic. Here is the problem: The only 2 elastics are the ones for each leg. There is no waist elastic. OTOH, each elastic is adjustable in the front and the back of the diaper.

Which end of the elastic is considered the "waist" and which is considered the "leg"?

The number comes after the hole, right? Because there is a hole before #1, so therefore the next hole must be associated with #2, right?

The diaper came with a spare set of elastics, but I don't know how I would thread them through if necessary. Any thoughts?

I am not sure which is the waist and which is the leg elastic, but you can probably contact them and find out. They have always been good about responding to my questions. Here's a little info about it, but not everything you asked http://www.fuzzibunz.com/one_size_diaper.php

If you do need to rethread the elastic, you can pull the old elastic out, attach a safety pin to the new elastic and kind of shimmy it through the hole with the safety pin first. I hope that makes sense. I washed a diaper once without one end of the elastic being buttoned and that's what I had to do to get it threaded back through.

The two elastics you see around the legs should be set the same. There is a 3rd elastic band in the waist that is very hard to find (I had to sit and study it for about a half hour before figuring out what they were talking about).

The waist elastic is almost completely hidden. When holding the diaper by the wings and having it all unsnapped, there is a small button on the left side right before the beginning of the wing (the button on mine seemed to be covered up by the fleece until I really started looking for it). The waist elastic only adjusts on the left side and is sewn in on the right side (assuming you have the same model I do which I just got a few weeks ago).

ETA: When reading my directions it seemed to me that both sides of each leg elastic should be the same (i.e. all four buttons on the legs are set at 4).

Hey - I never noticed that before! LOL I was thinking along the same lines as the OP in that one side of the elastic at the waist was the "leg" elastic and one side was the "waist" elastic. After I read your post, I went and looked at the diapers I have and there is a "waist" elastic hidden. It's in the top of the pocket area. It is very hidden, but if you really look, you'll see it. I have buttons on both sides for the waist on the diapers I have (I bought them back in the fall), but one side is more hidden that the other.

Great! Thank you, Kanga, for helping me find the waist elastic! I wouldn't have thought to look there at all.

Thanks, sandcastle, for the rethreading instructions!
