PS and the kinetic learner

DS1 is eligible for JK this year despite not turning 4 until November. So the pressure is on from everyone else about him going to school or not. I can't see it happening this year as we enjoy him being home and I don't feel he is missing much.
For awhile I was concerned about the social aspect, and that he wouldn't fit in the same if he did go for SK or Gr. 1 due to the lack of structure at home. Then my worries were increased when we started a 6wk math program. It's just a couple hours once a week where they focus on patterns, counting, shapes etc.
It's hosted at a daycare with a couple other local kids attending.

Of course the daycare kids sit quietly in the circle and pay close attention to the group leader. And then there's my son, laying on his back with his feet in the air. But despite him not "paying attention" during the program, he participates in all the activities and when we get home he can rhyme off everything that happened and he has absorbed it all.
Finally someone gave me a name for his learning style (Kinetic) and after looking some things up, it describes him perfectly! This is great I have something to go on now!

But...this learning style is not appropriate for public school. I'm sure he could get the odd teacher that would go with it and help him, but I'm also sure the majority of his time would eventually be spent in the hall by himself and I expect to see a lot of report cards outlining his active behaviour. He is not hyper-active by far, just likes to move.
I've already been finding it to be an uphill battle just to get him to sit quietly for *anything* and to not impulsively touch EVERYTHING. But it seems like this is quite normal and I know I could work with it better at home.

So I guess my final questions would include - are schools that difficult for a child like mine? Am I jumping to conclusions?
Any specific techniques or resources you could recommend for me to help him learn?
And how do I stop stressing about what everyone else thinks? Thanks!

I'm not a lot help, but I have to LOL because my 3 yo son is always the one rolling around with his legs up in the air during circle time too. He's fully capable of concentrating and sitting still *sometimes* but I have no intention of putting him in school and putting him on someone else's schedule.

At home if we're going to do something like puzzles that require concentration I do it after lunch or right before bed. He seems a little more mellow during these times (well-fed and a little tired) and he's often willing to do whatever I suggest at night because he wants to delay bed time as long as possible
