Anyone doing Junior First Lego League?

We signed up late this year but have found a spot for a nearby competition.
I wondered if anyone else had signed up, how it was going, what you picked for your project etc.
I love how excited my kids get about this program. They chose windmills so we are planning all kinds of fun activities.

Anyone want to share?

I want you to tell me more about it. Sounds like something my oldest would enjoy!

Here's the Wiki on it

this year the challenge is that the kids have to pick an item (any item) and learn about how it travels and from where.

they have to do a display board to talk about what they learned, and build a model of some or all the transportation system or the item (part of it needs to include moving parts)

and then they display and share what they learned - either at a competition or in their community.

It's the precursor to First Lego League for younger kids.

It cost $25 to join to get the challenge and there are additional fees for some of the competitions.

hth!
