I think things may finally be moving along! Starting last night and well into today, I've been having regular contractions anywhere from 5 to 10 minutes apart (my due date was Feb. 16). I was able to sleep last night, and they picked back up today. By now they're more like 6 or 7 minutes apart and getting stronger, but still not painful. I've also definitely lost pieces of mucous plug.
My doula said it sounds to her like early labor, which can be irregular and go on for some time before the body transitions into active labor. Since they're not going away, I'm hoping these really will turn into the real thing. Anyone who has more experience think this sounds promising?
Also wanted to offer a big congratulations to everyone who's had babies in the last couple of days! It seems like our DDC is really in full birthing mode now!
