Question about Midwife Interviews

This week DH and I interviewed a few midwives for our second baby. We had a great midwife when DS was born but sadly we moved out of state and had to start the process of finding a new one.

Anyway, we have decided which midwife we would like to work with. We both pretty much knew right away when we met her that she was the one.

My question is, what is the best way to tell the other midwives that we interviewed that we picked someone else? A friend said it wasn't necessary to tell them but it doesn't feel right to meet someone and then never follow-up. Should I send an email? A phone call? I really liked everyone we met, we just liked the one midwife the most. Am I thinking to hard about it?

You can let her know, but it's okay not to.

i told the other midwives that we didn't choose (in email) something like "thank you for your time, but we've found a midwife that we are comfortable with " they responded with thank you for letting htem known, they said it helps with their scheduling etc. to know

Thanks for the advice, mamas. I think I will just send a quick email to the others to let them know.
