Hey everyone,
I recently dug out this recipe for a friend who was buying sugaring kits from the drug store. I've made it once using sugar (because it's much cheaper) and it worked very well - I just couldn't take the pain. So here's the recipe - I thought there would be some ladies on here who would appreciate it.
Honey/Sugaring
1 cup honey or sugar
Juice of 1 lemon or lime
Directions:
Step 1:
Sugar - bring juice to a boil, then add sugar.
Honey - boil honey, then add juice.
Step 2:
Boil 5-10 min. over medium heat, stirring constantly until it turns amber.
Step 3:
Reduce heat to low and let simmer 5 minutes until thick.
It firms up when it cools to room temp, so I'd recommend pouring it into a glass jar while it's still warm - a glass jar would also be great for warming before use.
Since the honey/sugar stuff is water soluble you can wash your fabric strips and reuse. It's natural and frugal!
