i'm thinking that my gallbladder is having some issues. i've had about 6 identical episodes since 2006 where i would get extremely bloated, gas, nausea, stomach cramps and volatile expelling of fluids from both ends. all these episodes last about 4-8 hours and had no other symptoms(no fever or body aches). this last time was a little different. it happened within hours of having some peanut butter and apples. i had extreme pain on my right side just below my ribs that wrapped around my stomach and back. i felt very inflamed inside but it didn't feel like an upset stomach. everything felt the same except the need for the toilet. the pain felt like something was being poked through that part of my body. this one last a bit longer and i still had discomfort after 24, maybe due to the lack of diarrhea.
does this sound like a gallbladder issue? i was just in for a check up and had blood work done but didn't mention this since it's so few and far between. i think i'm going to call next week and get back in. from what i've read i need to stay away from fatty foods and and ultrasound is used to check for stones. i don't like the idea of surgery but i also don't like being in extreme pain.
