Dispensing borax

I am working on changing over to more "green" cleaning supplies. I've been using Borax in the bathrooms - which is working great - but I'd like to find a better way to dispense it. I'd like some kind of shaker, so I can dispense the powder like I did with my old Ajax canisters.

Anyone have any suggestions??

thanks!!

i steal the cheese and pepper shakers from the local pizza hut. i'm sure there's a place you can buy those guys, they work great for stuff like that.

dont steal them, i'm definitely not advocating you stealing them.

I use a couple glass Parmesan cheese containers for baking soda and such. Got them at the market, when they were empty we were good to go. Works great.

Find someone who eats the shelf-stable Parmesan cheese, and ask them for an old shaker - it's plastic, so no glass mess if it gets dropped. Just clean it well and let it get really dry before putting your borax in.

I should have thought of cheese containers. I am hoping to drop by the thrift store someday soon - maybe they'll have something there.

thanks all!!
