You know you're a nursing mama when...

You leave the house with DD and DH, stop at Starbucks for a cup of coffee, drive 45 minutes to DH's Aunts' house for a party, spend 45 minutes chatting with miscellaneous folks at said party and excuse yourself to use the restroom. Only when in the restroom do you realize that you failed to rehook your bra before leaving the house and one breast has been noticeably lower than the other the entire time.

BTDT-- but oh wait, mine is even worse!

You know you're a nursing mama when...

After pacing the floor with your 9 mo old for several minutes in front of the airplane bathroom on a long 14 hour transpacific flight, you look up to see a female passenger (in about the third row back in a section of the 747 that has AT LEAST 25 rows facing you) drop her jaw, bug her eyes out and blush a shade of crimson you didn't know was possible. Thankfully it dawned on me pretty quickly that I probably was leaking or something....I quickly turned my back to the people and felt the boob P had just been nursing from to find that not only had I not latched the bra, I hadn't even put the breast BACK IN THE BRA or FULLY PULLED DOWN THE NURSING FLAP.

I was sharing about 2 inches of lower breast skin (below the nipple) with my fellow passengers.

As a result of this (and another incident-- same thing had occurred except I had latched the bra this time and walked the mall-- here in a very muslim country!) I am constantly fondling my breasts in public to feel if I've pulled the right parts up and down and peeking inside to see i'f I've latched etc.....
not sure which is worse!

It's all worth it though-- we have great stories to tell!
