Balance bike for 3yr old

DS1 is 3 yr old and 39'' tall. I want to buy a balance bike for him but am completely confused with array of options available. I checked out a Specialized Hotwalk at local bike shop but it seemed small for him. Anybody has experience with other models for a kid with similar age/height? Please share.

we have an early rider - earlyrider.com - for my guy, he's almost 3 and has had it over a year, still loves it but he probably isn't as tall as your guy. they make 3 different sizes and have age/height recommendations for each. we have the smallest size they make, 18mo-4 yrs is the range. it's a british company, priced in between scoot and likeabike, we're very happy with the quality. have fun!

kinderbike

My DD is about the same size and we decided on the Kinderbike for her birthday last year...it's working out great !
