Just a thank you for the resource link at the top of this forum. I'm not a c/s mom, but posted a link to the Chicago Tribune's article about VBAC availability on my FB page, and a friend who's a nurse posted about the 'terrible dangers' of VBAC. I was able to sort through the resource links posted and find the ones which I thought would be most persuasive for her, and provide those links on my board within minutes of her comment.

I'm hoping it's food for thought for her, and for those friends/relatives who don't know much about VBAC, but will hopefully remember my links more than my friend's misinformation. If it gives someone the information to be supportive of a friend or family member who wants a VBAC, then it would be awesome.

Glad to hear you were able to find the info you needed! It always burns me when someone in a professional role (doc, nurse, whoever) doesn't have the facts straight...yet uneducated (on the topic) people will see that they are a doc/nurse and automatically assume they know best!

I used to be one of those uneducated people on this topic...I remember a nurse friend talking about VBACs and how awful they were and I thought it was such an awful idea and so selfish of the mother to put her baby at risk like that....my oh my how times have changed....I researched and educated and now VBAC'd myself after learning just how wonderful a VBAC really is!

I'm so glad I educated myself on the topic and became on less person that was misinformed!
