leaky gut healing? - Page 2

I think there are a lot of things that are opportunistic in terms of attacking a weak system. I don't believe parasites that moon mt. mama is dealing with fall into this category. It's kind of like pinworms. You eat poop with pinworms and you'll get them no matter how great your gut is. And if that pinworm is carrying d. fragilis you're going to get that too. And if you get certain parasites (i suspect fragilis is one) you're SiGa is going to take a dive and that does set up a hospitable environment for further issues. Many of these parasites love probiotic foods and healthy bacteria in the GI system. They thrive on it. And people have shown over and over that some of these bugs simply don't go away no matter how much you do to try to make things healthier and less hospitable. For example b. hominus...

Were these studies done on the SAD, with dysbiosis due to antibiotics, steroids, antacids, preservatives, anti-nutrients and chemicals in food, etc.?

When we change the *environment* of the gut ph by adding nutrients AND include naturally fermented microbials WITH adequate stomach acid and opening detox pathways, I don't believe the results would be equivalent, imo.

Parasites thrive for a reason. Pinworms thrive for a reason. Candida thrives for a reason. H. pylori thrives for a reason. Address the underlying environmental dysbiosis and they are less opportunistic. I trust the body to self-regulate, when provided the nourishment it needs.

Science studies things in isolation. Microbials thrive in a symbiotic environment.

Yes, my SigA took a dive from the parasite that we ingested in well water. I have had thisparasite the longest of the whole family so I can see that my intestines have been compromised. My son on the other hand who is 2 and has the parasite but for a shorter amount of time. His SigA is fine. I do not know anywhere near what sbgrace and WuWei know but is it a matter of doing both? Getting rid pf the parasite with whatever it takes while ehaling the gut and making the environment inhospitable? I did not know that there were certain parasites that thrive in environemtns that probiotics do well in. I also didn't know that they could be food for them. So, the good fighters that I have been adding in may just be feeding the parasites?

It also seems to me that protozoan parasites and worm parasites are very different in dealing with. DE can mostly kill and get rid of most worm parasites but it seems much trickier and involved to get rid of protozoans????

I do believe based on my experience that worms are much easier to get rid of compared to protozoans yes. Some of these are nightmares and, with recognition of your perspective WuWei, no I think that if you ingested on of my son's cysts you would come down with b. hominus. Anyone would. I firmly believe that. I won't offer to infect you though to test that theory out! (kidding of course)
