Castles and knights

DD is very into castles and knights these days, and is always playing page. And always asking me "what did a page do?"

Any good books (like novels) featuring the life of a page boy?

I always want DS to get into knights so we can get this:

This one looks cool, too.

I'm guessing you've probably already found this, but just in case I'll recommend "Castle Diary: The Journal of Tobias Burgess, Page".

For more variety in the middle ages vein we also liked "A Door in the Wall" by Marguerite di Angeli, "Adam of the Road" by Elizabeth Janet Gray, "Catherine, Called Birdy" by Karen Cushman.

I was just checking out Konos curriculum and one of their unit studies was on knights and castles. Just a thought.

Oh and you can check out the books in that unit study and check them out at the library. The list is on their website.

Thanks everyone, the Lioness Quartet look great (and DD will love a girl page ) as does the Tobias Burgess book.
