Cheap diapers on ebay

Has anyone purchased any of the inexpensive pocket diapers of ebay? They kind of look like BumGenius look-a-likes. They are about 1/3 of the price so I'm wondering if they're any good. If you do an ebay search for cloth diapers there are tons and tons of listings for them.

Thanks

I bought the Sweet Doll Baby pockets (identical to the Sunbaby and others). They came out to be about $5-$6 a piece. I used them about 3 times or so and found they didn't work well for us. Even though they were advertised as "one size" they were huge and bulky and leaky on my baby even on the smallest adjustment. Honestly, I found that pockets just aren't my thing, anyway, no matter the brand. I think if you really like pockets, and you have a bigger/older baby, they may work just fine for you. You could get maybe one of the smaller listings so that you don't invest too much to try them out.

those cheap dipes give CDing a bad name and i wish the chinese sellers were honest about the sizing!
ebay is a mainstream site so if mainstream parents order CDs off there and they are cheap and don't fit they aren't likely to try others.
i tried babyland ones (one size) and i want to get rid of them...worst, thinnest "fleece" inside. cheap snaps that feel like they'll rip right off. they need to be on the smallest setting (overlapping) and there is only one snap holding it together on each side, wheres the fuzzibunz has 3, placed strategically for belly, hip, and legs. so, when it is on the smallest setting on the belly, the gap on the hips and legs is way too big and wide open, so it is leaky, you can right inside. such very poor design overall.
and my DS is 10 months and they are still overall HUGE for him. he'd need to be like 18m and chunky to start fitting in these.

I don't have any but have read many reviews on them. Basically it sounds like some are very poor quality and some are ok. I don't think they are quite the quality of the brand name diapers, and with being one-size (i.e. get used a lot unlike sized diapers) they may not last through one baby. They all appear to be made in China, not sure if that is something of concern for you or not.

Diapers like SmartiPants or the Econobum may be a good option to try for a lower cost, or the Cloth Diaper Wholesale site has pockets also. These dipes also have the benefit of a company that will stand behind them, which I doubt you'll get from the chinese dipers.

Thanks for the responses. It seems they are too good to be true. I found one seller in Canada instead of China but it appears they are just an importer of the Chinese ones. We are just using prefolds and covers right now which are fine but my MIL bought us one BG to try out and I love it. My husband also ordered some SposoEasy AIO's from Green Mountain and he loves those but they are just as pricey. I will continue searching for used BG. Thanks!

I bought some Kawaii diapers (listed as "Heavy Duty AIO" on ebay) and I really like them. There's a huge thread on them on diaperswappers. I got the black snap ones.

I've only had them a couple weeks, so I don't know about their longevity.

FYI, CottonBabies is having a seconds sale on BumGenius 3.0 pockets ($12). They go fast though!

I have Kawaii as well. They are great. I also have Nubunz and like them, too. There are tons of bad eBay dipes, but there are good ones as well!

I have Coolababies and Nubunz (those are made in West Virginia btw, not China). Both are fine and have held up well. The Coolababies rock. The fleece is super soft, the snaps are working just fine, the PUL is not leaking or delaminating or any other issues here. The Nubunz fleece is less soft, but they come in velcro too and run a tad larger than the Coolababies. I love the Coolababies and would buy them again in a heartbeat!

Glad to see that people here have tried Kawaii and like them - I kept seeing them on ebay and finally had to try them so I just got in a package of 10 today. I had gone to diaperswappers and found some good reviews, so was hoping they were okay, but am glad to see positive reviews here as well. I would love some Bum Genius or fuzzibunz, but they are just so darn expensive!

hmmm...I just ordered a single one to see how it is before getting any more than that...

it's this kind: http://cgi.ebay.com/ADORABLE-GREEN-C...54327087955489

for $7 including shipping it's worth a shot. I was just surprised they were allowing used up on ebay again! good to know with my chunky monkey hulking out of his kissaluvs at 10 weeks! I smell a sale!
