Input regarding CM

A couple of days ago, I had tons of CM. I mean tons, I could feel it just walking around and felt slippery (sorry if TMI). It was EWCM. I haven't ovulated yet, but we BD'd the night before last and plan to tonight as well. Since then I have had much less mucous and no EWCM. I had a very positive OPK today and ovulation pain, so I am assuming I will ovulate tomorrow or the day after. According to my chart I have not yet ovulated.

Is this lack of CM going to make it impossible for me to conceive? Why would I have so much a couple of days ago and then barely any now? I guess it is possible I may still get some more EWCM, but I am concerned. Ovulation is imminent.

EWCM is much like beauty...

we like what is on the outside...

but its whats on the INSIDE that matters.

Seriously though, it doesnt matter if you are leaking ewcm... if you havent Oed yet you probably still have it up in your uterus so you are fine, thats where it needs to be, not leaking out of you.

plus, having done it while you had the excess EWCM you already have those spermies up there wandering around looking for an egg so doing it again tonight only adds more

the other thing to remember is that for many ladies, the most fertile CM is actually a day or so before you O, thats is also the best time to DTD, since it gives time fore the sperm to go and get into place, better to have them waiting when you O, then have the fighting to get up there and find the egg in time.
so if you had really good excm, i would trust that you still have it up there where it was needed.

I agree with the PPs. As long as you have EWCM internally, you're good. Good luck and happy BDing!

Well, I don't know what I have internally...hopefully there was some. However, my chart is weird. My temp jumped today despite my positive OPK yesterday. Hopefully it is just a fluke. WDYT

I don't know what you mean by "despite your positive OPK".
You can O as early as 12 hours from a pos OPK, and even then it could be immediate as you don't know how long it has been positive unless you were testing constantly (ie/ if you test late afternoon, maybe it would've been positive in the middle of the night too and you just don't know, so you were Oing as soon as you got the pos OPK?)
I think if your temps stay up then you will get CHs the same day you got the pos OPK. That being said, it could also be a fluke temps as well. It's a wait and see thing right?

Tell me more! Do you remember where you heard this? Because mine seems to dry up/change to creamy a couple days before my temp jump, typically...I'd thought it meant I was slow to respond to the progesterone, but maybe not.

Yes you are right. I guess I also meant because I didn't have temp dip to indicate ovulation either. I just had a temp spike unless the temp dip was on CD 13 when I woke up really late and my temp had already gone up.
What are CH's. Yeah it is a wait and see thing, but I hate waiting!!! :-)

Lots of women don't have a dip to indicate O. It's the spike you look for.
CH's = crosshairs (FF indicating O date with those red lines)
I know how you feel about the waiting thing! Patience is truly a virtue! LOL

Well I just took another ovulation test and it was blaring positive. So I guess I haven't ovulated yet and just had an odd temp spike today.

I had EWCM for months straight, TTC 2 cycles with no luck, the 3rd time I was dry as a bone, and got a nice BFP a week later. So maybe it is a good thing!
