Having a reaction to the steri strips

I am having a horrible reaction to the steri strip (I think) adhesive from my cesarean birth. I am 10 days postpartum & I am supposed to leave them on until Wednesday-ish (2 weeks).

I took them off tonight since I am red, puffy, itchy & sore from them. I put a bunch of hydrocortizone cream around the incision area, but not on it. Essentially most of where the strips were.

I am kinda freaked out because they are there to support the incision, but I literally can't handle it anymore. I keep thinking I will rip out. I should be okay, right?

Not in your ddc but mine fell off way before 2 weeks. Besides the fact that my incision is ugly, which it would be anyway - it was an emergency, I am none the worse for the wear. I did freak out and had a firm belief all my insides would fall out though

I had my staples removed from my c/s incision 7 days after I gave birth. I think you wil be just fine.

I had the same problem. My incision is fine (from 2 years ago). That glue in the strips is horrible, or really any glue on any tape, i react to it all. ICK!
