Baby Sign Language - need suggestions

I'm doing a little signing with DD, 9 months old. We had fun and success with DS, and found it quite useful.

What I am looking for is alternatives for "all done". When she is on the potty (EC), I sign "all done?" by brushing my hands down my chest. I am using the same sign to ask if she is all done eating (solids I mean). I'm thinking it would be better to have 2 separate signs for these two very different activities.

Ideas?

We put our fingertips together and then pull our hands apart and down for all done (kind of a brush motion down and out).

We looove signing, it makes such a difference for our kiddos.

ASL "all done" is holding hands up fingers spread a bit and rotating at the wrist. Lina's variant is to shake her hands like she's drying to help fingernail polish dry

For "finished", we wipe our hands together-as if we are dusting off crumbs.

For "all gone", we rotate our hands-palm down to palm up a couple of times(I think this is actually the sign for "finished").

If your dd has a sign for "potty" and a sign for "eat", she may be fine with only one "finish" sign, but you as her mama know whats best for her/you!

Oh, and Lina doesn't have any problem with the same sign for "finished" for everything. What she does have a problem with is admitting she's done on the potty.

Maybe you could try "wipe" or "leave"?

I could see this being an issue - she uses the toilet upstairs and likes to unravel the toilet paper; downstairs the potty is on a chair next to the piano - so much fun to bang the keys!

Thanks for the ideas everyone!
