I am extremely concerned about my dd. She is turning 7 this week and is barely 43" tall. She has all but fallen off the height charts. Up until she was about 5 1/2, she was in the 5-10th percentile. It's really been in the last year and a half that her growth has stalled. Up until now her dr's have been reassuring me that she is fine, just petite. I'm not so sure. I've been doing research, trying to prepare for her doctors appt next week when I plan to bring up my concerns and I'm trying to find out what all is involved in testing for Celiacs. She is normally seen by a military clinic, but from what I understand we may have to see a naturopath for this testing? Where do I go to find a reputable one?

Enterolab has an excellent stool test to test for celiac. Sometimes people with celiac disease go undiagnosed for years because the typical blood tests come back negative.
Go to: www.enterolab.com
You can order the test yourself and you can submit the bill to your insurance company for reimbursement.
If you go the traditional route with your doctor and the blood test comes back negative, you may have to push for a biopsy of the intestine. Sometimes that is the only thing that will show as far as testing goes.
You could also try going completely gluten free for your daughter and see if it makes a difference. It is a commitment and you will have to do it for quite a while to notice a difference.

She has terrible gas, which I know isn't lactose related. She also has bouts of constipation and sometimes complains of a stomach ache. I'm not convinced that this is what she has (if she has anything), but I do want her tested for it, along with whatever else her doctor suggests. I'm just worried that the military clinic won't be willing to do it, so I want to know where to go if I have to find someone else.
ETA, she has also suddenly started having accidents again, after being completely potty trained for a couple years.
