Implantation cramps?

Is there such a thing as conception or implantation cramps? I am 7 DPO and have been having consistent cramps that are very similar in feeling to mild menstrual cramps for almost this whole week. No spotting at all.

I O'ed last weekend and we are definitely TTC, so I could be pg., but since the cramps started so soon I wonder if they are related to a possible pregnancy or not.

Has anyone had this post-ovulation LP cramping that felt like AF cramps? If so, what did it mean? I have never had this before, so I'm curious.

TIA!

I did with my ds. I remember having such a bad cramp one day at work I actually left and went home and laid down for a while.

Then I took a preggo test (i really didn't know what day i was on or anything...we were ttc but i wasn't charting or tracking or counting anything we were just letting things happen) and of course it was negative...then 6 days later I got a positive. I'm pretty sure that cramp was the implantation!!

Hmm...thanks for replying! I guess we'll see! I just never had such a thing before and I hope that's what it is, but if not it will fall under "mysterious pelvic pain" and I suppose I'll have to get checked out by my NMW...

I'm glad I found this thread because I'm about a week away myself and have been experiencing strong, achy cramping for the past day (I never usually get cramps...even during my period). With DD I remember being "sick" exactly about a week before...which I think I mis-diagnosed as a stomach thing when it was really a crampy thing.....I remember being sent home from work and it was about 6 days later when I missed my period and tested.

Yesterday and today I've been experiencing cramping with some tummy issues (I do always get those during my period) and I'm wondering if its time again

I remember getting cramps when I was pg with DS. Now, in the wait to test, just like with him I'm crampy. Let's hope for BFP!!!!

Funny you posted about this...I've been googling implantation cramps like a mad woman, LOL!

I'm currently 6dpo and experienced pretty intense, menstrual-like cramping early yesterday morning. I've always gotten early BFPs with my babes...like 8-9dpo so it would make sense that if it was implantation cramping I was feeling, it would've happened then.

I've never experienced this before but it may just be I wasn't paying that much attention. I had a mc in December so I am hyper-aware of every little symptom.

How weird...I'm 5-6 DPO and experiencing the exact opposite...I'm not having my normal 1-2 week before AF starts cramps. We are TTC as well and I'm Praying to GOD that we are pg. As we speak I'm having a pain in one spot...down where my pelvic bone is about 2 inches below my hairline. Implantation can be anywhere from 6-12 DPO! EEEEK For all of us!!!!!!!!! I can't wait to see all of your BFP's! Please come back and post your BFP's!!!That would be neat to have an update from you ladies to see if it's true!

I had a cramp (felt like O pain- low and on the left side, below my hip, just above the hair line and constant) starting on 6dpo and ending at about 9dpo. I also had a temp dip on 6dpo, so I think it was implantation pain. I got my BFP on 10dpo and my LP is usually 10 days. Good luck! I hope it was implantation pain!

ditto. cramps this time 6 dpo, actually starting 5 dpo at night and all day yesterday. i put it on my chart to see if ff would up my "early preg signs" percentage, but it didnt change, so i took that to mean it wasnt a sign, but interesting we've all had them at same time. im 7 dpo today and no cramps today, nothing at all.

Update

Well, not sure about anyone else, but that was a big NO for me!

I had a doctor appointment anyway (for something else) and told her about the pain, so I got a pelvic ultrasound and she saw that a small ovarian cyst (just a normal one) had ruptured on my right ovary. Then AF came a few days later!

I am 8dpo today. I have had discomfort in my uterus for the past two days. I assume it is implantation because it is what I felt last time though I did have a miscarriage. So I was a bit freaked out by it. I haven't had a positive HPT yet, but I expect I will tomorrow or the next day. I have even had some round ligament pain.

Does anyone else feel like an achy fullness, maybe like pressure. I do have an adhesion from bladder to my c-section scar, so i know that is part of it.

But to answer OP's question, yes cramping around 7-10dpo is a good sign of pregnancy for many.

i entered cramps & FF said "
Frequencies of your top signs on pregnancy charts at 8 DPO:
Cramps:19.5%, Fatigue:16.6%." it gave me preggo pts

it gave me some now too. love those 'early preg signs' pts- did you see my "ode?" yippee! love the pts. the only thing is, im not counting on any signs as really meaning anything for me this time, cuz i started progesterone and i feel more pregnant on this stuff than i ever actually felt when i have been pregnant. but everyone who's on it says it does that, but it doesnt mean anything except that you are on prog. it's like a cruel joke.

I had mild cramos last cycle that started about 6dpo and I got a BFP but it ended in a chemical pregnancy because AF showed 3 days later

I've been cramping for a week too. Should be able to start testing this Wednesday and really hoping for BFP. I also feel a fullness/heaviness & my breasts are starting to get heavy. All this plus my insomnia. Hmmm....

Similar question

I ovulated 2-13, or 2-14.

AF was due on 2-26. nothing happened as expected. Very moody week before AF was due, sore boobs, bad heartburn, bloated feeling and very gassy (sorry tmi).

On 3-1 around noon I had very bad cramps, like AF only worse and lower down near pubic bone. then had light pink spotting only when I wiped that evening which turned to one hour of darker red spotting the next day at noon, changed to very light brown spotting later (again only when I wiped) that day and then it totally stopped by morning of 3-3.

I took a hpt before I began to spot, but it was negative. But my periods are always 5-6 days and heavy. I have never skipped a period before. Could this have been implantation? I always thought if that happened, it would be about a week after O....any thoughts?

ttc baby #3, after twin boys (5 yrs).
