ANYTHING I can take for sinus pressure???

I have such a sinus issue/headache that the pressure is making my eyes tear. Is there anything I can take at all? The last time I took sudafed it dried me up so badly that all I did was cough and cough. My sinuses aren't "wet", just creating severe pressure... Anything I can take?

Actifed Cold and Allergy is in Category A, and like Sudafed, only safe for use AFTER the first Tri... I don't know if it would be much better than Sudafed though?

The only thing I was ever told I could take safely was claritin and zyrtec. IDK if either of these would help though. Can you put a call into your doc? You might need an antibiotic. I had a sinus infection and an antibiotic was the only thing that helped.

neti pot!
It has been my savior for the past 8 months. I had a horrible sinus infection when I was about 5 wks and the neti pot was the only thing that helped.

I also add a drop of GSE to my neti pot.

Ciga - what is GSE? I have a neti pot and have used it A LOT this pregnancy already, but it just won't seem to help this pressure. But tell me what GSE is... maybe that might help?

Apple cider vinegar is my go-to for sinus problems. Its not medicine but it really helps! You can find a lot of different ways to use it on Google.

I think a lot of homeopathic stuff is save for pregnancy. What about kali muriaticum or brichonium (Sp?) for the mucus that is creating the pressure? Maybe check with your midwife or call a homeopath just to be safe but I think it should be fine.

Use the netipot. I cured my sinus infection this week with it and am a total convert. Sounds yucky but relieves pressure without drugs. I had so much pain my teeth hurt and it cleared it almost instantly.

GSE is, I think, Grape Seed Extract. (Not sure, but I saw you asked)

The only thing that has really worked for my sinus pressure this pregnancy is heat, steam, and a sinus massage. Mentholated vapors help a little bit too, but not are not super. Good luck!
