RheaSilva- yes, I always remove myself and let DH take over. We both do that from time to time, just to take a breath. But sometimes I don't have that option - DH travels for work a lot, so on one occasion, I put DS in the crib and stepped out the front door to breathe some cold night air, then headed back in. I knew DS was crying but I needed a second to compose myself. Very hard but helpful.
