what do you call your breasts? - Page 2

Oh, and my auntie, who breastfed her kids for many years, calls it "Nurse-em-ups." As in, "Oh, looks like she needs a little nurse-em-ups." Or, "Do you want some nurse-em-ups, honey?"
Cute. It's what her oldest came up with.

We just call them boobies here, no special name or anything.

we always called it nursies with my son until at about 2 years old we were in a show at disney world and it scared him and he started tugging at my shirt and saying MEEP! MEEP! He got what he wanted so from about that time on till he stopped nursing at 3.5 he called it meep. I have no idea where that came from, he wasn't talking at the time, at all, so it was nice for him to have a word even if it only made sense to us.

With this baby I am tempted to call it meep too just because it's such a good memory for us.

I always said "do you want to nurse?" and my DS started to say "nonnie" -- I want to nonnie! So, I began to say, do you want to nonnie? We all call it that now. DS is temporarily weaned until our baby comes. He likes to pat my nonnie and say, "Mommy, I do love you nonnie."

Oh, this is funny. I was trying on a swimsuit at the shop and Peter said, "You nonnies look beautiful, Mommy!" I will never forget that! Especially if I am feeling not-too-good about myself.

DS is only 3 months old, so we aren't calling it anything yet. We have friends that call it "boobie juice"

Generally I call my breasts "boobs" I'm sure DS will pick that up eventually!

I called them boobs when she was a baby, and realized I didnt want her calling them that in public so changed it to boo or boos. She was already starting to call them boobs but transitioned to boo easily. Not the best thing in the world but works lol.

We call them "nursies" in our house.

I was calling it milky, which is what I called it when I was a baby. DD calls it mamamama though. So now I say, "Do you want some mamamama?" I like it, because I feel like right now my mama-ing (Mothering!) is so much about breastfeeding.

My niece calls it "nurt-ning."

I always said "Do you want to nurse?" to DS, and never made up a specific word, but at around 14 months or so, he started calling it "nay-nay", so that sort of stuck. At around 2ish, he actually named each of my breasts, so he will now ask for "Free nay-nay" or Ope Bow nay-nay" (Ope Bow is as close as I can come to spelling it. It really sounds like Oboe with a p instead of a b really). "Free" is the one with all of the milk these days, so I hear a ton of "Free nay-nay Mama!" at bedtime.

On a side note, he also calls bras, "Nay-nay's away". One day he asked what I was doing when I was putting one on, and I said, "I am putting nay-nay's away", so it stuck. He SCREAMED it and came to get me to go see once when we were in a Lane Bryant store.

He calls nursing boo thanks to his inablility to pronounce boob.

By the time he had the name I'd never thought about it particularly.

Boo came from my husband telling him to 'pipe down and eat your boob' when he had a lot to babble about as a 10/11 month old and kept popping on and off.
