I second that. I don't know anyone in person who is Eping so it's been really nice and helpful to know through MDC that others are.

That is so hard. If my daughter is upset while I'm pumping (and there's no one else here with us at the time), I first try to calm her while pumping (reading, playing, etc.). If she needs more support at that moment, I stop and then pump again in a little bit. Not ideal, but over time, she's become more familiar with the pumping and our reading and playing while I pump, so it's gotten easier.

*blushing*. Thank you for your kind words. For me, it's been a very much one day at a time thing. I really wanted to pump for a year, but I set my first goal at a month. I was at six weeks before I noticed that I had passed the goal of one month. So my next goal was 3 months, then 6 months, then 1 year, then 2 years, and now I think I'll just keep going as long as I can.

that. I pump into 7 ounce bottles (and store milk in those too). I mix up the milk before giving it to my daughter, but only pour an ounce or two at a time. She drinks more than that at once, but I'd rather pour several time that have a lot of milk poured into a bottle and have her drink only a little

I use the dishwasher, unless I am traveling in which case I use a steam clean bag in the mircowave. I sterilize my pump parts after every part. I battled thrush for months and definitely found that I was re-infecting/exacerbating the yeast problem by using previously-used pump parts. To avoid washing parts all day long, I got enough sets of parts to get through a full day of pumps and then I run them through the dishwasher over night.
And, again, cheers to all the EPing moms out there.
