How old is he? Do you have his address?

I would think that worrisome Facebook status updates are enough to qualify as "evidence". Depending on his age and whether or not you have his address, you could contact the local police. Or child protective services (if he's young, and you're sure his parents wouldn't do anything to help him).

That's a really tough situation to be in. Just do your best, and don't worry if people think you're overreacting; it's always better to do that, than to ignore the signs.

momma how hard to be worried long distance and not have an easy way to help. If he is writing things that make you worry on fb is he maybe looking for help? Has he responded to your email? Could you send him information about resources near him so it is a little easier for him to get help?
