iTunes/Apps question - Page 2

I have had the same problems with my itouch. I have seen apps with the name of "pu**y pics" and "beautiful boobs", and the like. I say to each his own, but why do I have to see that? I agree there should be a seperate section...mostly I've seen them under the lifestyle and entertainment sections. I was wondering if there was a way to filter the content other day. You tube is the same way. Is there a way to flag this stuff?

I wish there was! They are supposedly being removed after numerous complaints. I can't see where or who to send complaints to anywhere.

I've had mine over a year and never find anything like this. I guess I don't look under the lifestyle ones. I don't see a problem with them having explicit apps (free speech anyone?) to a degree, but they should have their own category you can block.

I don't care if they have them either as long as they are in their own category & are able to be blocked by whoever else doesn't want to look at them. I'm not trying to infringe on anyone's free speech; I don't want sex positions and horny girls shoved in my face. I know I'm not the only one who hates them.

Just an update on this.

Apple will not remove, restrict, or help lock any sexually explicit apps or other content. It's there, no way of getting around seeing it.

I'm so mad, I could spit nails. I'm seriously telling them to F-off & cancel our account. This is ridiculous!

I just got an ipod touch, and the only apps I've seen that are sexual are the 101 sex positions and Kama Sutra type apps. I've never seen any that are really vulgar like a pp mentioned.

Those are the ones I find offensive - along with all of the other sexual ones. Just because they are fine to you doesn't mean everyone else wants to see them.

What's your secret? The "Prental Controls" are a joke - they still show up.

Oh I'd rather not see them, either, but I just thought you were referring to the 'beautiful boobs' and that other one that kyndmamaof4 mentioned. I agree with you that all the sexual ones should be in their own category, and we should be able to block the whole lot of them if we want to. It's definitely a bummer that we can't.

I hear you - anything "adult" should be in their own category. It's insane that some of this is showing up in the "educational" category - where a lot of the kids stuff is!
