Mac Bookkeeping system for a WAHM

I'm going to be starting a home-based business and am looking into bookkeeping options. But the reviews for mac versions of quicken and quickbooks are lousy. Any other suggestions? I'll be starting from scratch.

Hmm, I'm wondering the same thing. I have Quickbooks, but I don't really care for it. For the past few years I've just been using a separate register in Quicken for my books, and an Excel spreadsheet for my inventory. The inventory spreadsheet is a real PITA, and I'd like something different.

I'm checking into Quickbooks Online, wondering if it integrates smoother with Mac OS X. Can't find any reviews, but you can try free for 30 days.

I used QB for Mac for a year and had no problems with it. The only advice I have is that it does not integrate with any shopping carts, so if you sell on a website, you end up having to manually enter orders into QB. If this doesn't apply to you, then it doesn't matter. Also it needs a pretty fast processor to run quickly - our 2 year old Mac Mini would occasionally get bogged down while running QB.
