I'm in Bristol County, MA and I'm thinking of csas. In the past I've gone with:
Simmons Farm in Middletown, RI. Love them! They have excellent certified organic produce, eggs. meat and goat cheese. Carla is wonderful! I would highly recommend them to anyone in that area.
Wishingstone Farm in Little Compton, RI. Again, wonderful. They have beautiful produce and grow some more unusual things, like fava beans. You can also buy local bread and cheese at the pickup point. Highly recommended, though a tiny bit pricey.
Silverbrook Farm in Dartmouth, MA. This was my least favorite csa. I didn't think the produce was always first quality and I felt like we were stuck with a lot of filler stuff (pea greens, anyone?). Other people seem to love it though.
Though I really love Simmons Farm, I'm trying to stay closer to home this year. I've been thinking of Quittacas Farm in Freetown or Brix Bounty. Anybody want to weigh in or make a review of your own?
