I've always experienced some hair loss post-partum, but before you ask my youngest child is two years old and not breastfeeding. For the past eight or nine months, I have been losing significant quantities of hair. It's all over the shower when I finish, I wake up with it on my pillow, I can't comb or brush or even run my fingers through my hair without pulling it away.
My mother also started losing her hair when she was in her early thirties, and I do not want to end up like that! Is there anything that actually works to prevent such hair loss? I can minimize the obviousness of it by fluffing my hair up in the back and on top (it's naturally curly, which helps) but it's still noticeably thinner than it was even a year ago.
I do not want to be bald at 40.
