Nintendo DS games for 5-7 y.o. girls?

My nieces have (and like): Nintendogs, Smart Girls, Cooking Mama and Imagine Teacher.

They both have birthdays coming up, and they both want a game. Any recommendations?
thanks,

p.s. For reference, the turning-7 y.o. is very "bookish" and while she has a Wii, doesn't enjoy games like MarioKart.

My dd loves a game called Rhythm Heaven. It has a bunch of mini games where you have to do things in a particular rhythm.

My girls are 5.5 and almost 8. Some of the games they like are:

Harvest Moon
Tinkerbelle
Bolt
Emergency Vets
some of the Petz games
Littlest Pet Shop (more the younger dd)

Mine also LOVE the Professor Layton games, but don't give those unless you are prepared to help when the puzzles require trigonometry.

my very bookish dd is 7.5 and LOVES Scribblenauts-*so* creative and also really great for spelling and handwriting! there's a bit of very mild and very cartoonish violence, though, don't know how you feel about that. it's definitely not enough to make me not recommend the game. she also really likes her sims games. they are very complex, but there is one called My Sims that is geared toward younger players and it's very cute. She also loves anything Mario Brothers (except mariokart, which we have also and she can't stand either)

My 7 YO really likes the Petz games and wild life vet. She also enjoys The Legendary Starfy.

Oh yeah, my dd loves Scribblenauts too! Though there is the potential of use of weapons so that's something to consider. It is a really fun game though, if she can write well.
