Healthy finger foods for the picky 11-month old

Please help! My DD has been refusing being fed anything for the past 2 weeks. She wants to feed herself, but will not eat any fruit or vegetable, even if it is cooked and cut up into little appetizing bits. All I can get her to eat is cereal pieces, bread and cheese. This has been making her really constipated!

She still breast feeds, usually upon waking, once during the day, and then at bedtime. She wakes up 2-3 times during the night and drinks then too, which I would love to stop, but she is extremely resistant.

Basically, I need some ideas for foods I can give her that are not just bread so that she gets more calories from table food and does not need my milk as much.

She used to eat yogurt and fruit purees and vegetable purees but she refuses them now.

Any ideas?

Is she teething? In my experience that is typically a reason to refuse solids.

Is 6 times a day enough to be nursing at only 11 months? That seems very infrequent to me.

What about handing her a whole green been? DD2 hated the purees and won't let us spoon feed her anything. But give her a green been in each hand, and you've never seen a happier baby!

Maybe try changing the way you're cooking them, too. Sautee instead of steam, for example.

Babies seem to like new foods in close succession, I've found. We didn't bother waiting days in between new foods for DD2, and she is a much less picky eater than DD1. In part, this is just her temperment/propensity/whatever, but in part I think it's because she got a taste for new flavors rapidly, and they stuck with her.
