DDC Crashing

About 5-6 weeks in I had a bout of pretty bad bleeding. There was a fair amount and it was BRIGHT red. I had some light cramps (I think I caused them by freaking out, though)

My son is going on 11 months

I had an ultrasound a few weeks later (scheduling around the hurricane made it impossible to get in before that) and they saw a pocket of blood around implantation...she said the fetus probably implanted on a capillary and broke it. Anything from sex to a sudden change in position (I started bleeding after standing from lying on the couch) can make it bleed...

I'm so sorry there are so many spotters in this DDC

I hope this turns out to be nothing for all of us.

I am not really spotting anymore. I have been scouring the internet on what to expect if this is/was a M/C. Yeah, that wasn't a good idea. Everyone's experience is so varied and there are so many different reasons for spotting; I still don't know.

I did go and have blood work done and hopefully I will have some answers tomorrow. If it is a M/C, I going to eat Mexican on Sunday and enjoy a nice big margarita.

DDDC:

I spotted 2-3 times with bright red blood that was a good amount, then for 3-4 weeks solid of darker brown blood. It was scary and then depressing...

I'm 29 weeks now. Best of luck to you all!

Do NOT eat any foods straight out of the fridge. Also, no tropical foods, citrus, or salads (unless locally in season.)
Eat warm foods. Miso and chicken soups are good, as are hot cereals and root vegetables. Drink tea and room-temperature water. Continue eating that way until symptoms have been gone for a week.
Vitamin E can strengthen the placental attachment to the uterus. You can take up to 800 mg daily for up to three weeks, but don't exceed that because it can cause the placenta to become TOO attached.
Vitamin C taken in doses up to but not exceeding 1,000 mg per day can help, too.
Oh goodness mama! I just ate a big salad for lunch and have been eating fresh mandrin oranges for two days. They are delish. We've almost gone through the whole bag! I think I'm good though. The fact that I'm gagging and dry heaving every 10 minutes and am exhausted is a good sign!

DDC crashing. I was in the October DDC last year with my fifth baby and had two seperate bouts of light spotting that lasted three days each. My pregnancy was fine and DD is now 4.5 months old. I hope all of you spotters have an easy time and healthy pregnancies. Not knowing is the worst so I hope you have definitive answers soon. Good luck to you!

I hate to be debbie downer, but I have had two pregnancies (this is my third) and the first two I did have spotting. The first pregnancy, I spotted from 7-9 weeks continuously. Everything turned out fine and I now have a 17 month old. The second pregnancy, I started spotting at 8 1/2 weeks and bled until I lost the baby at 14 weeks. The OB kept saying everything was fine, he had a heartbeat, yada yada yada, but he died. I felt like something was wrong and I guess I was right.

Soooo, I'm not sure what to tell you. I pray 20 times a day (at least) that I won't have any spotting with this third pregnancy. I'm at 7 weeks now, so I'm in the scary period...

I had intermittent pink and brown spotting with my daughter between 5 and 7 weeks and went on to have a complication-free pregnancy and a healthy baby

I've also miscarried twice and both of those times began with spotting that gradually got heavier. I don't remember the details of the first (7+ years ago and an unintended pregnancy), but the second involved red spotting when my period would have been due that lightened/went away and then eventually turned into the equivalent of a very, very heavy period over the course of a week.

My mw just left. We couldn't get a heartbeat which I knew was a possibility at this point. I'm 8w5d and that's pretty early with just a doppler. She said I could get an ultra sound, but I'm not interested for a variety of reasons. I feel ok about it. I really feel like all is well and if it's not, then it's just not meant to be at this point. I'm not going to sit and make myself sick over the situation. Frustrating...YES, VERY...but what do you do? My uterus is measuring 9 cm which is right on...so now I wait. I'll see her again in a couple of weeks to check for heart tones again.

Hope all of you other "spotters" are hanging in there. Sending lots of and . Take care mamas!

That's a very good perspective, and one that I've been trying to have. The MW I saw today tried to be reassuring, since my brown spotting is tapering off and I don't have any cramping, but I'm not sure that everything is fine. Several nights ago I had a troubling dream about dead fish in a tank. I didn't want to look it up, since I knew it would be bad. I looked it up today, and sure enough, swimming fish is a typical dream for pregnant women. My fish were dead, though

((((HUGS)))) Mama! It's maddening isn't it? The not knowing and trying to guess what's going on in there! I'm thinking of you and wishing you the best. Try to think positive. I know it's difficult. VERY difficult!

I'm spotting again... It's still brownish, not red and not a ton, but it's there. This is so frustrating. I'm ready to be off this freakin' roller coaster. I don't know what to think at this point.

I am right there with you. I started spotting brown again too. I had terrible cramps last night, I did end up passing a lot of gas (sorry, TMI), but my bleeding did not increase.

I was hoping my MW would have my results yesterday, but I won't find out until tomorrow. I would love to get off the roller coaster too.

My spotting is getting heavier and I'm feeling real crampy, so combined with my low progesterone number from my draw last week (12.7), I think I'm out. I won't officially withdraw until something difinitive happens, but I'm pretty sure this is it for me.

I will be thinking very sticky baby thoughs for both of you Jazzmin and AmBam

Hugs to all of you. I've been in limboland a couple of times in past pregnancies and its a sucky place to be. I'll keep you all in my thoughts, and hope everything turns out to be OK for all of you.
