Looking for Aspie resource for family and friends.

I am looking for a fact sheet to explain what Aspergers is to friends and family. I am having a hard time finding things that aren't too psych speak, or outdated and focusing on things like " obsessions with train schedules" and " lacking empathy". Does anyone have any good resources? Maybe we need to make one ourselves! I have seen the great fact sheet for grandparents on the OASIS site. I am in particular need for one for friends.
I am finding that people have an underlying skeptisism of a diagnosis when is comes to kids who look typical on at first, but then get thier panties in a bunch when the typical Aspie behaviors rear thier head! Even if they were warned ahead of time... very confusing to manouver in this social landscape!

hi. i thought that was nicely done, and sent it out to all my family in the beginning. hope that helps. i also think sometimes linking them to a blog of someone who has asperger's (if they'll read it) can be really helpful.

I was just thinking about this topic and found http://www.nas.org.uk/nas/jsp/polopo...686&view=print It's a bit longish, but has a somewhat positive tone and not too much jargon (there is a bit, but not excessive).

~~It would be nice to find something super short, concise and even more positive in tone (i'm not really fond of the term 'disability'), if anyone knows of such a thing...

We run into this kind of attitude a LOT too, especially from people who should know better. I have no advice, just empathy.
