pandora is NOT free. you are allowed only so many hours a month. once you go over it you have to buy the service. pandora belongs to netflix.

we listen to music a LOT so we use up our monthly quota on pandora quite frequently.

how much did you pay for pandora? i think it was around 99 cents when i went over quota on pandora once. i listen quite a bit b'c i work from home and have only gone over once. maybe it would stay free for the average listener, not sure how many hours is their limit, probably says on their site somewhere.

Really, those rates are quite reasonable, especially when you consider the average album cost 9.99 on iTunes (even when you consider "free" radio where you are interrupted by constant advertisements., jmho). I'll check out the others as well. Thanks for the info.

actually what's so cool about this station is this - it used to be free till the licensing thing happened. and that's when they had to charge - a nominal fee. so i am happy it is not a rip off kwim.

however between me using it while i study and dd enjoying her music as well as me using it to put us to sleep when we are having trouble sleeping we usually are out by the second week. the nice thing is they usually stop once in a while and ask are you listening and you have to click and say you are. so at nigth it shuts off.

however at regular points of time - hour or half hour or so there are ads.
