If you "caught the first egg"..

so I'm wondering about those who "caught the first egg" (got pregnant with a 2nd+ baby before having the first ppaf)

How was your iron level in that pregnancy? More, less, or the same as previous pregnancy(s)? I'm just curious because my iron was borderline low (don't remember the number) in my 1st pregnancy, but in my 2nd it was GREAT. I'm just wondering if the 18 months of not having a period was the cause of that, giving my body plenty of time to build up good stores without having to "catch up" every month. Anyone have the same experience?

We 'caught the first egg' for the second time. We are pregnant with baby #3 around the end of October. Baby #2 was the 'first egg' too!

I haven't had an iron issues so I can't comment on that.

We caught the first egg this pregnancy (my second), and my iron is about the same as the first (which was good).

We caught the 1st egg for baby #5. I actually had low iron which I hadn't had at all with babies #3 or 4. I had had those 3 close in age so I just figured my body had been working hard for several yrs & I hadn't worked hard enough on my iron stores.

We caught the first egg with #2 and my iron level has always been fine.

(Felt kind of sick when I got my first PPAF AFTER #2 and saw what it looked like -- the first two days of blood were basically black and flaky -- how could that kind of uterine lining possibly support a fetus? But obviously it did...)

We caught the first egg with this one, and so far my iron has been fine. My iron didn't drop until the third tri with #1, so maybe I'm just not far enough along to have developed the problem.
