Sling help?

Can someone tell me how to wear this sling with a newborn? I want hands free to type and made one, but I can't figure out how to get him in it.

Did you see the photos & instructions pages?

If it isn't tight enough, can either twist it near the shoulder (as in some of the photos), or maybe fold a towel to insert behind baby. Just be careful about not letting baby's chin rest on his chest.

The instructions I did see, but they were with an older baby?

The pics I'm not sure how to get him so high up on the boob without sliding down? Because gravity pulls him down more towards my belly button. Did I make it too big/loose?

Sounds like it is a little too big. A bigger baby would pull it down even more. Can you cut it a few inches shorter and try again? I second the recommendation of bumping him up a bit with a towel or blanket. Before I saw Aramat's link to the photos, I was thinking of trying to take a picture of myself in my pouch with DD's doll to demonstrate...then I realized this big baby bump of mine is totally in the way.

Ok I measured it and it seems to have turned out perfectly - I measure myself as being 27" from the top of my shoulder to the top of my hip - the sides of it are 27" and the deepest part in the middle is 30". So I'm wondering if it is more operator error? I'll have to try it with the receiving blanket - his neck getting scrunched up is part of the problem. And by pulling it down, it's more that it pulls so tight on my shoulder that it's uncomfortable and I feel like he's sitting too low.

Ok, baby is sleeping, but here's me wearing it empty and with a doll...

The doll's feet are in the "pouch" where the seam is. However, when I try to put the baby in there, he slides down so his butt is there, and then his chin gets all smooshed. I can't seem to find a position where we both are comfortable.

Cute sling! It looks like it does fit. Should be perfect when he's bigger and has more head control, but right now I'd put a blanket under his bum, in the low-down part of the sling, to boost him up a bit so he's more like laying flat instead of curled up so much. Does that make sense?

I can give that a try. It was scrap fabric I had laying around, so I'm not out anything if it doesn't work, but boy I was hoping to find something so I could type again!
