That's average weight at a year, or close to it.

Yeah, my DD was 17lbs 15oz at 12 months, and her old pedi didn't bat an eye at that.

This should be the goal of EVERY health care provider, but alas it is not. I agree, try to find someone who supports you in ways that feel right for your family! As for your dd, have you tried smoothies? You can get a ton of nutrition into them that way, with good fats like avocado, nut butters, coconut oil, yogurt or high-fat raw cream if you do dairy. It sounds like your daughter might have food allergies. Refusing to eat much solids is a self-defense mechanism. You might want to research that.... Taking away primary nutrition would be a BAD idea, why would anyone thing it would HELP malnutrition??

She seems to be gluten/wheat intolerant but tested negative for all other common allergies. I think I'm going to shell out the cash it takes to get a more extensive test done because we have done elimnation diets without any clear results. I'm beginning to feel hopeless again...
