smaller twin BF pillow?

Thread Starter
I saw in another thread that someone else didn't like the EZ2Nurse pillow. And, I really don't like it much myself. It is SO hard to get comfortable while using it!

I'm small, 5'2" and 110 lbs, and the pillow just extends way too far back. It requires three pillows just to get me comfortable in bed. And on the couch I put a pillow behind me but I still feel like I'm leaning forward and unable to get comfortable.

So, I'm wondering if anyone knows of a smaller version of the pillow or a different version. I'd be willing to pay a pretty penny for something that fits me a little better. Or, if there isn't another pillow, any suggestions? I need something easy since I also have two little ones at home (4 & 2) that would move things around.

I'm your size, and the EZ-2-nurse pillows just looked huge to me. I got a Bosom Baby pillow from Luna Lullaby and loved it. I don't know why this pillow isn't more popular, it really was perfect for us. They offer a lot of cute cozy covers, get a few since it seemed like in those early months one was always in the wash! Actually, I still use it now that my twins are two, not for nursing, but as an extra comfy pillow for reading to them in bed (back support for me).

I also didn't like the EZ pillow much. I used to have to stuff pillows under it and between my waist and the pillow to get it to work well. I mostly used my single nursing pillow or else just two couch pillows.

I haven't heard of the pillow mentioned by the PP. Maybe worth looking into!

I found that the EZ2Nurse pillow fit me differently after the babies were born (maybe obvious!) I'm not sure how you know it is/will be uncomfortable, but maybe you'll be able to pull it in closer once you're not pregnant anymore. By leaning forward, do you mean to get down to the right level? I did need some extra bolstering, too, especially after my twins were getting really heavy and dragging it down even more. I had to slide side pillows under there.

I am not trying to talk it up (I finally quit using mine.) It had its purpose but I wasn't ever really crazy about it. The waist strap (tightened!) helped and losing some of the bloated belly helped a lot (that took me awhile. Maybe in part because I ended up with a transfusion the morning after the birth and I think I also had IV fluids with that?) My belly didn't just disappear or flatten out postpartum, and I found that was a factor with the nursing pillow.

Ultimately, I got to the point that I could no longer slide my hands under the babies and hoist them (asleep) off the pillow without waking them up, and that meant I had to find something else.

I switched to using two Boppy pillows, circling me sideways (like a C on my left and a backwards C on my right.) I'd get the babies in the football hold, and then be able to slide them (the pillows & the sleeping babies) right off my hips/legs and onto the bed for their naps. We still do it that way at naptime and bedtime, actually. (My twins are 19 months old.)

In the beginning of that, I needed extra pillows to support the Boppys, but I no longer do. I lean forward slightly, and I also really only nurse that way when they are really tired/ready to go off to sleep, so it's a pretty fast proposition at this point. Other times, I nurse them singly.

Has anyone tried the My Brest Friend for twins? http://www.mybrestfriend.com/twins.php
