If you or your kids take supplements...

I try to get most of my nutrition from food, but there are two issues that concern me:

1. My kid won't eat everything I give him, so I know he is lacking in some nutrients.

2. Our soils have been depleted of minerals to a large degree, so it takes a much larger quanity of food to get the same amount of minerals that was once there 100 years ago. Minerals are a big concern for me. Any ideas on how to get more into our diets?

I've been looking into Magnesium Citrate powder and ConcenTrace for our water.

My son won't eat bone broths or anything cooked with broths, we are grain-free as well.

for me, a bigger concern than the minerals is the fat soluble vitamins needed to absorb the minerals. unless I test deficint on my upcoming nutrient testing, I don't take mineral supplements. however, I do take cod liver oil, and am contemplating vit d3 drops, which among other things (including uping k2 sources) should help me absorb the minerals I need.

just my stance on it. I haven't really looked into supplementary minerals, but I do know that making sure that the fat soluble vitamins are there as well is important.
