Well not that I'm happy to hear that others have felt the same way as me I sure am glad that I'm not alone and that it's normal. I was afraid it was some left over damage that was done to me as a child.

I do sometimes feel closer to the baby when I listen to certain Madonna songs. Crazy for You is one that's good for me. I was watching the video for Substitute for Love and the whole time kept thinking there has to be more to this video and the words then what I see and hear,it's more, much more. Then at the end of the video Madonna closes the door of her home behind her after a rough day outside and a little girl runs into her arms. I don't think I'd ever seen that video before, though heard the song many times. So yeah, that made me feel something for my baby.

I did not really bond with any of my boys until they were born. Kinda DS2 but not the other two. The second they were born it was love at first sight.

Well, truth be told my moment was while I was straped to a table with my guts out! I had imagined that moment every day of my pregnancy-- pulling him up my body in the water and feeling his hot wet skin. I planned on being the only one talking to him (and my partner). When my planned HB turned into a c-section, I lost all that, but the moment was still there, just delayed by 10 minutes and not involving the touch I wanted so badly. Your moment came too, just delayed as long as it took for the bond to sink in. Everyone falls in love eventually! Whether it's at conception, labor, birth, or some time post partum or sometime parenting!
