Book rec for crunchy-mom best friend

Hello!

I'm looking for recommendations for a book for my bff. She's big into attachment parenting with her three little ones (eldest is 5) and alternative, crunchy living just in general (cloth diapers, cloth menstrual pads, organic eating, etc).

I bought her a book on having a diaper-free baby (The Diaper-Free Baby: The Natural Toilet Training Alternative) which she was SO thrilled about... but I'm having a hard time thinking up some similarly awesome.

Any of you gals out there know of any books that you would like if you were her?

Merci Bien,

elsewhere in this forum crbyard has recommended a book called Radical Homemakers that sounds super. i have not seen it yet myself, but you might check it out.

does she have a more specific interest, such as a craft she enjoys, or a certain aspect of cooking she's loving (e.g. baking, raw foods, canning)?

That book looks awesome! It says it won't be out til the Spring but I'll be getting it for her then! Thanks so much. That's totally up her alley!

She's really into organic baking and she loves things and ideas that simplify every-day stuff/functioning.

I love Peggy's Natural Family Living Guide

and oooh, baking! If she likes to bake bread, this book is amazing

One of my all-time favorite books is The Simple Living Guide by Janet Luhrs.

Oh man, she'd be over the moon for the bread book. I think she already has the Natural Family Living book but the Simply Living Guide also look rad-tastic.

Thank you! I think I have a few ideas now. )
