Positives on FRER but....

Negatives on the Clearblue Easy Digital... My positives on the frer are so faint and I guess it might just be too early to test with a digital. The store didn't have a FRER digital so I was stuck having to choose between the CBE or an EPT digi.. now I'm wondering if I'm making up the lines I saw on the FRERs.

You can always post them! If the test line is pink, it's positive. If it's gray or you're not really sure, it might be an evap. I think the packaging on the CBE digis say they can give a positive at around 25 whatevers, only a bit more than FRERs, but all the stories I've read/heard have indicated that it usually takes at least a couple of days for them to turn positive after you get a clear positive on a FRER. I hate to say it, but you'll have to wait to find out.... at least until morning.

I took another FRER right after I took the CBE and it's positive, too... about the same as this morning in color and thickness.

Those are SO clearly positive! I think I already said so about these exact same pics, actually. It might be hard to wrap your head around, but seriously.... no one else looks at those photos and wonders whether or not you are pregnant! Look back for more pics on this site or look at canyouseealine.com until you find a pic that makes you think, "Lady, are you serious? That is not even almost a squinter. Stop posting photos and go celebrate!" And then try to understand that you are just like that lady! So stop it and go celebrate! LOL

LOL... yeah.. apparently I'm being a bit on the obsessive side. I am in disbelief! I was really hoping the digital would say positive and I could just go about my merry business, oblivious and zen-like. I guess I'll wait a couple more days before I use the other CBE. I noticed in the instructions it recommends FMU especially if you are testing before AF is due.. which I am, of course, because I'm in obsessive mode.

Well, FWIW I am confident that you should see PREGNANT on the next one if you will just wait a little bit longer, even if you are still unsure.

I am reluctant to comment on these things, because I would hate to contribute to false hope.

But I see two lines, no squinting, no doubt. I hope you get more confirmation soon!

Those look positive to me- no squinting here either! CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!

Those look totally positive. I think digitals aren't as sensitive. I would say you are pregnant, congrats!

thats happening to me too! I dont know what it is! every other test i take besides FRER are NEGATIVE! and my FRERs are soo positive

SO positive-congrats!

the new pink foil FRERs are gaining a bad reputation for evap lines if you look at them after the time limit, but if those are within the time limit thhen woohooooooo, positive!!! Digital tests are known for being less sensitive.

are they just getting evap lines noww?? im just curious b/c i dont know what to think. ive never ever had an evap line on any tests ever, especially not FRERs. So is it just a recent thing?

They have all come up within the time limit.. though they get darker as the paper dries but still positive looking and a faint pink within 10 minutes.

oh... and if they are evaps, they are certainly getting darker each day?

AND... i grabbed a box that said test 5 days sooner (they were behind the 6 day ones) though it was still pink foil.... so they are all different batches and I'm still getting faint positives. I took my last frer this morning and it's showing positive right now. The issue that I heard was that there was a line before the test finished processing, like right away... and it was often pink? though i didn't see that with any of the tests I took. As the ink moved across the window there's a slight pink hue and the test line does not come up right away for me though the control does. It seems to take forever for the control line to be a dark pink though, too.... odd.

oh, demeter, those don't sound like evaps!!!

LaceyBourke, it's just recently, with these new pink foil FRERs, that people have been having problems after the time limit with pink evaps. I'm not an expert on it or anything, I've just witnessed a few heartbreaks recently. But none of them had positives before the time limit was up, so it doesn't sounds like that in this case. Sorry to cause a stir!

Does anyone think it possible to get 5 pink evaps???
oh honey, NO! I'm sorry to put doubt in you mind. Those aren't evaps! I just wanted to make sure they were in the time limit, and they were! You are soooo pregnant!

Reading the FAQ in the package:

Q: Will the result change if left standing for a certain period of time?
A: The test result should be read as soon as possible after waiting the 3 minutes. A positive result will last for at least 48 hours. A negative should not be read after 10 minutes.

Reading that makes me feel better. Even though it is taking longer than 3 minutes for the pink coloring to become prominent enough to know it's for sure pink and not an evap... it's definitely a line within the first 3 minutes and a bfp by 10 minutes.

I feel nauseous this morning... and I'm hoping that waiting until Wednesday for the CBE digi will give me a PREGNANT. I actually gave the digital test to my husband to hide from me so I wait until Wednesday. Apparently I can not stop testing on my own... I'm forced to now because I'm all out of tests now and he won't agree to buying me. He told me rely on my intuition and the tests we have already seen. (but i will be so heart broken disappointed if these are all evaps or false positives)
