Pregnancy and Air Pollution

I live within a quarter mile of a major interstate. I've lived in this neighborhood for the past twenty years. Both my grandparents died from pulmonary issues. I live in their old home.

So I'm 20 weeks expecting and looked up pregnancy and air pollution this morning. I don't know why I did that... I'm going to be freaking out all day probably.

Does anyone hear live in the city or near a major road? Has anyone had any ill effects from it... or positives?

Basically the research says low birth weight, premature birth, and low IQ are the risks of air pollution

Obviously, moving is NOT an option right now.

Can you afford to get a high-quality air filter for your home? I don't know which pollutants those would catch or if it would even do any good, but if you're going to be stuck in that location, I think even a minor improvement in air quality would be worth the expense.
