My daughter is about to be 8 and in 2nd grade and I feel really good about the curriculum we've been using, but I have no direction in science. Does anyone have a good curriculum they can recommend? We've been enjoying Classical/CM type stuff (although, I don't know that I'd label myself strictly Classical or CM). I do have a science book on loan from the school (we use a charter to homeschool) but it's just the typical classroom thing and I really don't like 90% of it. I also have The Handbook of Nature Study, but that's so expansive and since I work from home I really like curriculums that spell everything out for me since I don't have much time to plan myself. Any ideas?

R.E.A.L. Science Odyssey is nice
http://www.pandiapress.com/real_science.htm
There is a link on that page where you can download some of the book so you can try it out a bit.
There is also
http://www.eequalsmcq.com/classicsciinfo.htm
You can download the life science book from there for free.
So there are a couple programs you can check out without a big investment. Picking the right science curriculum can be so hard!
You didn't mention whether you wanted secular or more religious focused science (which is an important distinction) the two I linked are secular
Building Foundations of Scientific Understanding by Bernard J Nebel sounds really interesting but my child is in third grade
