Quick Question

We started late EC/early PT (10mo) and I just have a quick question.

I've been able to catch a few poops (like, he'll start pooping and finish on the potty) and it looks like a lot less than usual...that's just because it's not smeared all over him and the diaper right?

Probably, yes. If you're worried that he might not be emptying out, you can always just sit him on the potty with the diaper on. At this stage, keeping the communication open (what he's doing, where to put it, etc) is more important than keeping the diaper clean.

That's what I figured. If I can catch him RIGHT after a pee (he makes a noise when he goes) I set him on the chair anyway.

I'm sure that's what it is. As long as he's pooping everyday and it's not really hard or anything, I wouldn't worry about it, because it means things are continuing to move through.
