Recommendation for Pedi Genetics in Texas

I am hoping someone might have a recommendation for a Pediatric Genetic Dr/Clinic here in Texas.

My 16 month DD has an appt here in Austin but there is only one Dr here and her appt isn't until May 25th,

DD's Neurologist has referal us to Genetics for undiagnosised Neuropathy.
He believes it is Metabolic.

Since there is only 1 Dr here, it would be nice to have a 2nd opinion/ possibly get in sooner.

Thanks in advance

We saw a Dr. from Cook Children's that has a satellite office in our city. Of course, I am drawing a blank as to her name. But it was a thorough, complete exam. She didn't rush us, answered questions well, and went back and forth between Isaac and me, keeping him from being uncomfortable and avoiding a freak out on his part (does not like strangers). I broke my foot and so can't get to the records to get her name. Sorry.

We go to the genetics clinic at Texas Childrens in Houston. The staff has all been very receptive. You can call and speak with the clinic nurse, explain your diagnosis, and she will tell you which doctors specialize in that area. The wait for an appointment can be lengthy, so I would make an appointment now, even if you decide to cancel it later.

Good luck.

Thanks

Thank you for the quick responses. I did a little research on Texas Children's.
I am going to give them a call.

Any more recommendations I still would love to hear. As I fear this isn't a one time situation.

It they suspect that it's metabolic I'd go to CMHH before TCH. My son and several other children have not gotten the best care for that at TCH.

I worked at Hermann Children's for 5 yeras and loved it. I would have no problem taking DD there is we were not already established at TCH.
