This can happen...

Very disappointed this month...thought I would share this so maybe it will help someone else from being disappointed.

We had to use fertility meds with the first but this time I REALLY thought I wouldn't need them. We went back to our fertility dr just so he could confirm that I was ovulating on my own. This month I had TONS of EWMC (tons) when normally i barely have any. My expensive clear blue easy monitor said I ovulated. My follicle was growing great on ultrasound. But then my progesterone level confirmed that I wouldn't ovulate this month.

So I guess for others, the lesson to be learned is that even if you have ALL the signs of ovulation and your $200 fertility monitor said you ovulated.....you still might not be.

hugs to you elf. listen, not to add unnecessary confusion or drama here, but i do recall last week another mama saying she was told she dint o this month by her re, based on her progesterone level, only to end up with a bfp. her name is mangosink0.

so sorry...I do agree that it is still possible you could've O'd. But I have heard fertility monitors are not all they're cracked up to be. Buy yourself a good thermometer for 15 bucks and start temping. The best indicator of O.

That happened to my mom...with me! At least, she was charting and it didn't show ovulation. I don't know what kind of testing they did back then. And, she told me, my dad's sperm supposedly tested "wonky."

Sorry you had to go through the anticipation/disappointment.

you know progesterone test are notoriously wonky, my RE will use then to confirm that you did o but never trusts them to say you didn't. with out doing daily u/s to show a follicle still there or burst, or temping and seeing a clear pattern there is no way of knowing for sure (except a BFP of course!)

You say

is this a miss type or did he say he could tell ahead of time? because i'm pretty sure he cant. i assume you meant didn't rather than wouldn't?

well i hope you did O, time will tell. what Cycle day are you on now? when did you get a progesterone test?
