I sprouted wheat for the first time this week to make bread and what a pain. Anyone just buy sprouted wheat flour?

Yeah, I've been buying it for several years now (usually spelt, sometimes wheat). Sprouting/drying/grinding just got to be too much for me. It's been worth it to spend the money for someone else to do the work. I can get local wheat now, and have been thinking about starting to sprout it again, but haven't done it yet because I have so many other things going on. I prefer spelt, though, and every attempt I've made at sprouting spelt has failed, so even if I end up sprouting and grinding some wheat I'll still buy sprouted spelt flour. I buy larger quantities to get a better price and store it in ziplocs in the freezer.

When I started sprouting my wheat, I thought it was a big pain, but I've kind of developed an easier system that lets most all of it happen while I'm sleeping. I've found that if I just dump the berries in with water and soak them overnight and rinse them once the next morning, they're ready to dry by that night (just barely beginning to sprout). Then all I have to do is dump them all into two cookie sheets and pop them in the oven on the lowest setting to dry all night while I sleep. That way the actual work time is only like five minutes total! Of course, you still have to grind them, but I just dump the dried berries into a jar and grind them when I'm ready to bake.
I have bought sprouted flour before, but it's just so expensive and doesn't seem to taste quite as good as fresh. That said, I wonder if you could find anyone in your own area that sells sprouted flour. The lady who runs the co-op that I'm a part of makes and sells it and recently my mom has started doing it too because there was so much demand.
