Dressing 22 month old for snow

Hi- We're planning a quick day trip to the snow (so my dd can see snow and maybe make a snowman!) I'm just wondering how I should plan on dressing her. It'll probably be in the low 40's/high 30's at the place we plan to visit. We have snow boots that she loves and a hat that she loves. I'm just not sure what to put in the middle! Should I dress her like I dress myself, or does she need warmer clothes? Normally she wears less clothing than I do. (For example, right now I'm wearing a long-sleeve t shirt and sweats, and she's wearing a bathing suit! ) (We're inside today.) Any suggestions?

We recently got a lot of snow. My son wore his normal winter coat with a sweater underneath. On the bottom he wore flannel lined jeans with a pair of waterproof pants over them. The waterproof pants also kept the snow out of his boots. For the most part he was dressed like we were.

The last few days we went outside 25ish degrees. I dressed ds in long sleeve onesie, 2 pairs of socks, doubled up on his pants (they are thin, but knew they would be more comfortable than jeans...no sweats clean), snow pants, thin hoodie, hat, gloves, boots, jacket. Yeah, totally looked like Ralphie from The Christmas Story. He could move though! But, it was super windy and he likes to stay out there forever. Have fun in the snow!

DD wears a snowsuit, boots, hat & mittens in the snow

If she did not have a snowsuit I'd put her in her jacket & snowpants.

Unless it's quite cold (like -20C/-4ish F), I just have DS in his regular clothes -- onesie, long sleeve shirt, pants (denim or fleece), and thick socks -- with his snowsuit, toque, mitts and Stonz booties. Enough to keep him warm and able to move around on his own... for the most part. The snow, in areas where it hasn't been packed down by my older two, is waist to chest deep on him!

Russk's suggestions for the temps you'll be in are good. Once spring thaw hits and the temp is about 5C/41F, my kids get too hot in snow gear and instead wear fleece bottoms and tops under their 3 season jackets and splash pants.
