Best/EASIEST Baby Carrier?

I have 5 week-old twins, and I would like to know what baby carrier would be best for carrying/soothing a fussy one (or both?) around the house. They are already 8.5+ lbs. and growing quickly, so something that would hold larger babies would be nice. I am leaning towards a ring sling (maya brand?) or pouch sling, but I need some advice! It can't be anything complicated and has to be a quick in and out type thing - I have two older children and no time to struggle with something complicated. I have a "Snugli" front/back carrier, but never used it much with my other kids. It's not imperative that I be able to carry both twins at once - just that I be able to put it on and get one in and out of it quickly - and that it be big enough to grow with them. Thanks!

something that is easy, that you can use now, and that will grow with them? i'd go with an Ergo w/the infant insert. if you don't want a soft structured carrier, then maybe a ring sling. For me, the ssc was always the easiest and the most comfortable. Plus, an Ergo is great for a back carry, which comes in super handy with twins when they are older.

I would say either a ring sling or a wrap. You can wrap the wrap around you and wear it all day and just tuck a baby in as needed. Moby has a great instruction page.

I have the sleepywrap which I love but if you want something that you don't have to take time to wrap the Baby K'tan would a good option. Both of them can work for twins.

I so hear you on the need to switch babies out of the carrier quickly. I feel so much more comfortable using a mei tai but it takes too long to take one baby out and put the other in. For me, the pouch sling is easiest to get the babies in and out of.

For quick in and out, I used New Native pouch slings. For carrying 2 at once, I used a Beco on my back and a mei tai on my front.

When they were really little I carried both in a wrap. Now I tend to use the Ergo to carry one on my back and leave my hands free for the other one. I also use my hotsling for those quick in and out times.

What are some brand names of ring slings/pouches that you find to be the best? (I'll check out the New Native and the Baby K'tan). Due to time constraints and the logistics involved with taking everyone out in winter, this will likely be an online purchase, and I won't be able to "try before I buy." Thanks!

I have a HotSling but I don't have any other brands to compare it to.

What do you think of the Hotsling? Comfortable or not?

definitely comfortable

I also have the Sleepy Wrap and have found that keeping it on for a good part of the day helps considerably. Evenings can be rough around here. I also have two older children and I have found the same issues.

My babies are still small though, 6 lbs, so fitting them is easy right now. I don't know how they'll fit as they get bigger. I'm still new at this.

I have a Baby K'tan around here somewhere that I bought before I got PG with the twins. I had totally forgotten about it. No wrapping with that one and it works similarly to the Sleepy Wrap. I'll have to check it out and let you know how it works.

I had a New Native pouch sling given to me by a mama who didn't really use it / like it. I tried it quite a bit but it never seemed to fit me & my babes right, either. It doesn't have any adjustable parts, so I think it would be bad thing to buy online (b/c it either fits or it doesn't).

I think the sizing on New Native pouches tends to run on the big side. If you can find them, I love Comfy Joey pouches. She makes ring slings now instead. http://www.comfyjoey.com/catalog.php I like Hotslings pouches as well. For ring slings, I love Sleeping Baby Productions, they're super affordable.

I used this type of carry for my son, but if I had twins, I would SOOOO be using this.
