Ring sling help needed.

I just got a Maya ring sling. My son is 10.5 pounds and seven wks old. I was wondering how you where your sling.( I'm right handed.) Do u put on right or left shoulder? and do u wear baby facing the ring or opposite? Is the babies head up by your shoulder with sling or other. As u can see i'm a bit confused.

Mu husband and I are both right handed and we both wear the sling over our left shoulder. I don't really use the cradle hold at all, but when I did, I'd put baby's head on the opposite side from the rings, so head to the right and feet to the left, at the rings

I'm right handed and wore it on my left shoulder. Like MsVyky, I didn't really use the cradle hold (DD hated it!), but I always tried to keep her head away from the ring, just for her comfort.

I'm backwards. I always pointed my dd's head the way of the ring. I also mostly used mine while nursing, so I would switch sides, but was most comfortable with her head facing my right side, (I'm right-handed).

Thanks for the info. I guess I will wear him for a while and see what feels best. What hold did/do you use with your lo's?
